This is definitely my favourite way of wearing the Imogen Blouse from Feist Heist, very on point with the current peplum trend, without it actually being a peplum design. I’ve honestly never been a big fan of belting up (cinching at the waist with a belt is usually a no-no for me), but with harnesses? Bring it on.

Chanced upon these Jeffrey Campbell Soiree sandals when I was holidaying in Bangkok recently (ZEN departmental stores carry Jeffrey Campbell’s range of shoes), and boy was I surprised! They are surprisingly pretty comfortable too.

So from time to time, I get questions regarding outfits appropriate for wedding dinners over on my Formspring (which I have reactivated in case you didn’t get the memo). Here’s an outfit that I wore last Saturday night for a good friend’s wedding dinner over at the Ritz Carlton. While I’m not sure if most would agree if this is appropriate – especially since I’m donning a t-shirt (really, a t-shirt Min?)… But I’m just the sort of girl who likes to take my favorite t-shirt everywhere with me, regardless of the occasion.

I also get many questions about the Dolce Vita Jemma Boot, and if you don’t already have it, you must get it! It’s perfect in every aspect – height, shape, comfort (especially for the height) and wearability. I’d say, go for it!

What a beautiful weekend…

We headed up to Fraser’s Hill over the weekend in Pahang, Malaysia, and had the opportunity to stay and party in a private 1920s stone walled bungalow. Perched atop the hill, surrounded by lush greenery, scenic lakes and lofty hills… It was absolute mayhem in private tranquility. I can’t wait to revisit this place!

So, I was asked to customize a pair of limited edition Dr. Martens 1461 3-Eye shoe, in celebration of Zouk’s 20th Anniversary and Dr. Marten’s #FIRSTANDFOREVER campaign. And can I just say, I had so much fun with this! It’s been so long since I last got my hands dirty with a craft project…

My shoes, along with 19 others (seriously cool customized kicks from seriously cool people), will be auctioned off here from 7 Oct to 14 Oct. 100% of the proceeds will go to Zouk’s adopted charity of 2011: Make-A-Wish Foundation ®. Also, the shoes, together with photographs shot by Ivanho Harlim, will be displayed at various locations for an ongoing exhibition at Zouk, Dr. Martens (Orchard Central), Blackmarket No.2, The Pigeonhole etc. Psst, remember to shop Lucyd Acyd if you do drop by Blackmarket No.2!

So, I’ve gotten quite a lot of questions regarding the makeup that I fancy/use, so to make it easier for everyone (myself included), I decided to do a makeup stash post! I’m no beauty junkie, so I like to keep my boxes filled only with products that I love and adore, that work with my problematic skin (combination to oily, sensitive). I don’t like storing makeup that doesn’t fit/work, so it usually is given away or tossed.

Face: Vichy Sunscreen, Make Up For Ever HD Primer, MAC Prep + Prime, Chanel Mat Lumiere Liquid and Compact Foundation, Make Up For Ever Full Cover Concealer, Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat, NARS Orgasm Blush and Laguna Bronzer Duo, Make Up For Ever HD Powder

The MAC Prep + Prime primer is amazing at oil/shine control, but I prefer the finish of Make Up Forever’s HD Primer (it doesn’t have oil/shine control, but my moisturizer does). I switch between both the liquid and compact powder version of Chanel’s Mat Lumiere foundation, depending on the finish I’d like to achieve – dewy or matte respectively. If I’m using liquid foundation, I finish it off with Make Up For Ever’s HD Powder. Make Up For Ever’s Full Cover concealer is great because it dries with a matte finish – most concealers remain sticky and rub off easily. I use this to cover up my birthmark, spots and scars. For under eye concealing and highlighting, Yves Saint Laurent’s Touche Eclat is perfection in a pretty gold click tube.

Eyes: Urban Decay Naked Palette, NARS Surabaya Eyeshadow Duo, Bobbi Brown Black Ink Gel Eyeliner, NARS Ipanema Eyebrow Pencil, Topshop Tarnish Eyeshadow and Woodland Crayon, Maybelline Magnum Mascara

Urban Decay’s Naked Palette needs no introduction (everybody’s raving about it), and if you don’t already have it, you need to get it pronto – reasonably priced and it comes with a free brush and primer potion. I’ve been wearing eyeliner for the past 7 years and Bobbi Brown’s gel eyeliner is the absolute best! I use Shu Uemura’s 4F Sable brush to apply the eyeliner and I highly recommend it for all gel eyeliner users. The usual brushes meant for gel eyeliners are way too bushy and thick, and this brush allows you to achieve a thinner and more refined line.

Lips: Topshop Muted, Bobbi Brown Soft Coral, MAC Lady Danger, Bobbi Brown Old Hollywood, Revlon Really Red, Illamasqua Box, NARS Viridiana, Revlon Fabulous Fig, Make Up Store Corallo, NARS Fire Down Below, NARS Scarlet Empress, NARS Volga, Make Up Store Coco

I only like using semi-matte and matte lipsticks – love full and deep opaque colored lips! My favorite lipstick of the lot is surprisingly, the cheapest – Revlon’s Matte lipstick in Really Red and Fabulous Fig. They are really lasting and pigmented, and I wished Revlon released them in more colors! On a random note, I’m eagerly anticipating Chanel’s new release of matte lipsticks in September/October.

Something funny happened this week… I painted my nails a sparkly cosmic color (Orly’s Space Cadet) that perpetually looked like a glittery purple and sometimes a glittery green… And I found myself at a loss – I absolutely loved the nail color on its own, but I couldn’t get it to agree with my wardrobe. Beige (really inclined towards beige this past week) and other neutral colors do not go with sparkly glittery purple nails, lesson learned.

But can you imagine the dilemma I was in? #superficialfirstworldproblems #lol

Love the design and aesthetics of these Margielas! Realistically, they aren’t the most practical or comfortable shoes… But even if I’m not wearing them out, they look beautiful sitting on the shelf, almost sculptural.

A barely there harness vest = smart layering in the recent unbearable heat! Picked up this vest randomly at a consignment store (one of those many that are tucked away in nondescript buildings in Shibuya) during my last trip to Tokyo without expecting much from it, but boy am I glad I made the fluke purchase. I’ve never fancied the cookie cutter type of vests, so this one is right up my alley.

PS: My hair is a mess, sorry!

They have a stunning range of both female and male fashion – divided into Izzue (mid priced) and Izzue Collection (higher priced). My boyfriend and I can spend hours in their stores just perusing through and trying on all the beautiful clothes.

This asymmetrical blazer is my best purchase from their current range. The quality and minute details are so impeccable! Check out the deliberate frayed hems and even the inner lining is hand stitched.
